Hi. Ive got some Photoshop (PSD) images that have translucency (4-th alpha channel). I need to convert them to PNG, 32 bit uncompressed. Photoshop itself doesnt seem to support this. I downloaded pngoutWin ... but it doesnt seem to support inputting PSD images. Im sure there is _some_ way to do it.
Can anyone suggest a way to get from PSD (with translucency) to 32-bit uncompressed PNG?

Re: How convert Photoshop PSD to uncompressed 32 bit PNG (with alpha)
Thank you for your interest in PNGOUT.
If you have Photoshop (it sounds like you do), then you can try the PNGOUT plugin for Photoshop.

Once installed, you should be able to do a save as, choose the PNGOUT file type, then move the slider to Uncompressed.
If the source image doesn't have many colors, then you can use the Advanced dialog to force the PNG image to RGB+Alpha and Uncompressed to get it in uncompressed 32 bit RGBA.

I downloaded the trial version of the Photoshop plugin ... and it looks like it may do the job: I was able to convert a single image to PNG and I was able to select "Uncompressed".
Im prepared to purchase it, but before I do, I need to make sure it will convert lots of images at once. Photoshop does this with the "Process Multiple Files" action under the File menu. I tried this, but I dont see the PNG-plugin option in the output file type (vs. when doing a SaveAs on a single image, I have two PNG choices: the original and the PNG-plugin). I _do_ see a "PNG" option when in "Process Multiple Files", but this is just the default Photoshop png conversion that does not support uncompressed.
Question: How does one convert a whole folder of image files within Photoshop using the pngout plugin?

I'm afraid that Adobe doesn't document how or even if your plug-in can work in that dialog box. As you mentioned, most non-Adobe file format plugins are not listed. If you need to do a lot of files, then there is currently only one efficient way to do this, and it has two steps. I would save the files as (Adobe) PNG with the "Process Multiple Files," then use PNGOUTWin with the compression setting set to Uncompressed. There is a build of PNGOUTWin that has the "Force write even if bigger" option that hasn't been officially released yet. I'll PM you with a link to the file.
