Why does the two pograms show the parallexed surphases differently :?: I want it in-game the same as in BUILD :!:
 Also, is there a way to make duke die before he hits the bottom... of something deep... and dies :?:

Yes that is a crazy map. weird
Edit:
To your other map Q. You could try some sort of transport effect near the bottom so that duke wud be transported to a new sector containing the space texture. But i dont know how you would do it so that you dont see the sectors change.

What, do you mean like how Master Chief dies in the air in Halo?

lol, :remebers driving off a cliff in the buggy filled with soldiers...

Dude, think about it. The same way you make a parallaxed sky, and make the walls disappear - just do the same thing with the floor, lower it way down, make small sectors on the sides and make them disappear so it looks like the sky is parallaxed all around you.

Ok I will use that for KillBox2, thanks; ofcource now if you fall you will fall for five minute  s... now any1 knows how I can make a one way teleporter?
CannibalBob at
You can make a 1 way teleporter. Sorry I can't offer any more info, I made some levels using original BUILD like 8 years ago, and haven't touched BUILD since. But I recently played through Duke, and noticed there are 1 way teleporters.
IIRC, Atomic Edition (version 1.4, 1.5) has one way teleporters, but regular Duke (version 1.3D) does not. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In 1.3D you can make Fake One-Way teleporters by lowering the reciever SE underground.

Well use a code similar to the purple lava texture code - it hurts Duke no matter if he's way above the floor or if there are sprites between 'em etc...

From Jonah Bishop's Build Faq:
4.50 One Way Teleporters (Plutonium Pak Required)
Map Name: NONE
One way teleporters make it possible to create interesting effects
within the level, and make it possible to force the player to not be
able to go back to where they started. Follow these steps to make
this work properly.
STEP 1: Place a sector effector in the sector that the player will enter,
and give it a lotag of 7 and a unique hitag.
STEP 2: Place another sector effector where you want the player to exit,
and give it a hitag the same as the above sector effector, and a
lotag of 23. The angle of the sprite will be the direction that
the player faces when they exit the teleporter. If you want the
teleporter to act normally, leave the palette as 0. But if you
do not want the teleporter to have any sound effects or flash when
entered, make the palette anything above 0. You're done!
4.50.1 Version 1.3D One Way Teleporters
Map Name: NONE
STEP 1: Make the sector that will be the starting sector (i.e. - the
sector the player will enter into first).
STEP 2: Place a sector effector sprite in this sector, give it a lotag
of 7 and a hitag of whatever you want.
STEP 3: Place a sector effector where you want the player to exit at,
and give it the same hitag as the sector effector above and
a lotag of 7. Now lower the SE sprite into the ground until
you can no longer see the sprite. You're all done!
