I have searched through the forum to look for information regarding the correct use of addons with this superb source port.
It is Sunstorm's three official addons that I would love to play. I have found limited information on setting these up, but there is no concise guide written to aid people of my somewhat... lacking ability of customising.
I have Duke Atomic Edition, and I must say that JonoF's work is phenomenal when in motion. Thank you for creating such a robust port than lets me delve into one of my all-time favourite games time and time again.
If somebody could help me play these wonderful addons again with a good guide, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance,
Jonathan.

I got all addons (vacation/nwinter/dukedc) working and created some scripts to easy install vacation
nuclear winter: on the cd in gamedata grabnwinter.grp and the con files (nwactor.con, nwdefs.con, nwgame.con, nwsnow.con and nwuser.con) and put the in your duke-dir. duke3d /gnwinter.grp /xnwgame.con. I personally renamed nwgame.con to game.con and put all the nwinter cons in a zip (nwinter.zip) so I can simply launch it duke3d /gnwinter.grp /gnwinter.zip and have less files in the dir
dukedc is not that easy as it has ssi files, it'll requires some renaming as vacation...

Hey man, thanks for the quick reply.
I decided to try Nuclear Winter first, and I find that the "-nwinter.grp" command works well, but the second episode itself is not named correctly, and the intro demo is not updated. The levels are 100% working though, and I watched the intro movie.
Your mini tutorial is a little confusing to me. I copied all the files mentioned (excluding "nwgame.con", which was not in the "gamedata" folder) into the root port directory successfully. I could not use your provided command parameter due to the lack of this file, and also because the slash character is not validly recognised on such command line extensions.
Regardless, thanks a bunch for your help. Any additional support would be great.

it's called nwinter.con not nwgame.con, sorry I was confusing the two I typed the above form memory and thought it was nwgame.con (as with nwdefs and nwuser) but it's nwinter.con on the cd
edit: updated the site with a script for dukedc and information on how to to install nuclear winter

Well, thanks a lot noctrun. I haven't played these things for five or six years!
Perhaps make this a sticky topic?

If you're interested I have around 55 TC/Addons and over 500 maps and a launcher to launch this lot.
You do however require the Atomic/Plutoniam version of Duke for the Launcher and TC's to work properly.
