First of all, thanks to JonoF for his excellent port.
So I have two issues:
1.) I built JFDuke3D on my laptop (Thinkpad T23 with S3 Super Savage, DRI enabled) and it runs (even with HRP). But it always crashes after some time of play taking Linux down, i.e. I have to reset the laptop, because I can't access anything. That happens with full screen or windowed mode.
Any suggestions?
2.) I got the Win32 binaries and played JFDuke3D with no crashes (though, I apparently haven't enough OpenGL to use HRP). But when we want to play a LAN game, we have always problems with JFDuke3D. First, we can't connect the games when there is no gateway configured (my guess), e.g. when using a crossover cable to connect two boxes. Then, the games always go out of sync, and saving games make programs on both (!) boxes terminate immediately.
Any suggestions here?
