First post here, so let me say first thanks to JonoF and KenS for creating these wonderful new versions of Duke, to keep us all going.
I created a conversion level many years ago for Duke3D called "Redrum:The Shining 2" which was a recreation of the Overlook Hotel from the Kubrick film. To this day, I still get people interested in the file, but the numbers have dropped over the years because people seem to have a hard time getting Duke and getting it all running. Now, at last, there appears to be a way to update my level and give it some new life, thanks to JFDuke.
However, I am sort of stumped in how to get it working. I downloaded JFDuke and got it working fine on its own. My level consists of three files:
redrum.grp
redrum.con
tiles014.art
I used to run it with the command line:
duke3d /xredrum.con /gredrum.grp /l1 /nm
I copy the files into my JFDuke directory, and start it from a BAT file using the command line above. This appears to load the level, but the textures are not working. Everything in the Overlook Hotel is still textured with the original Duke textures. Does anyone have any ideas? It's as though the ART file is not loading. Thanks for any help you can offer.
If you're interested, my level can be found at...

Hey caretaker, first i gotta say YOU ARE A GOD!!!! I loved your map, its just the ultimate homage to the shining, so much detail and atmosphere!!! love it!!
Anyway, I got your map working perfectly on jfduke, I dont actually use the .bat file myself i think i mighta had the same problems with it.
Just make a shortcut to duke3d.exe and put all the same parameters in :
duke3d.exe /xredrum.con /gredrum.grp /l1 /nm
I mean there are duke 3d textures in your level (not many tho) but everything pretty much looks perfect.
other than that make sure you have the latest version of jfduke.
Thanks again dood, hey if u do make any updates to it let us know here ok?

I've had Redrum on my site since the first JFPort.
Check it out amongst the many other TC's
http://www.proasm.com/files/dntcs/Redrum.zip
Just execute the Redrum.bat file
I'm constantly updating TC's for the latest JF releases with Platoon, DoomDuke and Grune being the latest updates.
