4 Feature requests (from a different player :p)
- I recently downloaded the port in order to play my pretty big Duke episode/map collection again (since I haven't done so for a couple of years now) and what I've seen of it so far looks great, but I do have some things that I'd like to make feature requests for:
1. Key bindings via the console. (similar to Quake, Unreal etc.)
2. A variant of the "map" console command that lets you keep all your possessions.
3. An option to enable the old 1.3D feature where recoloured monsters were 50% stronger. (I quite liked this feature as it made some maps harder, but as we know it was fixed in Atomic)
4. An option to enable non-shootable gun turrets on moving vehicles to work. (if you've played the high-rated warz.map you'll have seen the 'war cars' firing rockets at you as they move, and they work in 1.3D but not in Atomic) - About point 2, the "map" command is basically a cheat, something outside of the game, so I don't see the use of the player keeping his/her stuff.
He can always just cheat again to get everything again.
I personally would rather see the ability to warp through different maps through the actual map.
Some maps have the usualy exit, and a secret one, pointing to another map altogether, leading me to believe I could make some kind of hub map, letting me into a bunch of other maps I made, all of which pointed back to the hub.
I tried, don't remember why, but I never got it to work for some reason.
I'd love to see that added as a feature.
