hi, i have one question. I play zdaemon - doom2 port, it is great for internet multiplayer games, and it has support for dedicated server, so some game server could add that into the list of games. There could be doom2. So my question is if this is possible with duke3d too ? has your port this support ? i really want to play duke3D over net like doom2 - zdaemon.
sorry if this has been posted more (dedicated server question)

im hoping to provide a "central server" for keeping track of duke port games in my next release of DX.
I'm currently pending multiplayer support in JFDuke3D. :)

and exists any good port which provides that ? dunno what support duke 3D has

the original duke3d will require an ipx emulator to be written, simular to the likes of Kali.
iC actually interfaced with the game directly using a 16bit shared data structure. I dunno much about the 16bit way of coding but i would imagine trying to get 16bit dos code to work with windows code would be rather difficult.
This is why the ports are implementing their own networking code.
Currently the only active port that supports multiplayer is the Rancidmeat port, in which DX 1.5 supports.
JFDuke will come next, hopefully with the same support.
