Just installed the Jfduke3d on my pc running windows xp professional SP2.
Congratulations it certainly is good to play again an old favourite.
I do have a question though, everything runs fine using the keypad to control duke,and when using the gamepad, strafe left and right work fine also.
However, using the gamepad to advance forward or backwards, movement is so slow it is almost unusable,
I have tried re-configuring the pad / buttons to no avail.
If I press the move forward on the pad, duke moves really slow, if I then press the forward key on the keyboard, after releasing the gamepad button, it moves real quickly.
This happens in run mode on and run mode off, it is even slower in runmode off obviously.
The gamepad is a pcline one, it works fine on the old non ported version of duke3d.
I also tried calibrating the gamepad in control panel and that hasn't helped.
