I was wondering if you could make it possible to automatically save the config (for later use of course) that results into the smallest image when the multiple trials dialog is enabled, also, being able to manually save any of these configs by just right-clicking on the name of the image, would be very handy.
An now, could you include an option, in replacement for the plain "Show multiple trials dialog after folder/file operation" that would allow users to choose between the current strategy, the multiple trials dialog and a new one I'll call "saved configs", which should display a list of previously saved configs for you to choose before the compression process starts?.
Thanks for your time :)

Could you make PNGOUTWin portable so that it stores its settings in a (ini?) file in its own directory?

By portable, do you mean running from a USB drive/iPod? That's an interesting idea. It's complicated, and only U3 has a good solution for managing the software license.
A similar request for presets was made for the Photoshop plugin.

Yes, running without any installation … I actually don’t have a USB drive, but I put every software which doesn’t need an installation on an own partition so I can use it immediately after I have a running Windows. I reinstalled Windows this week and those installer-less applications saved me a lot of time :) And that way I can use it under different Windows versions. I already use the installer-less version of PNGOUTWin so I only had to re-enter the registration details and change some settings, but it adds up, so I got the idea of suggesting this.
