I removed it for 2 reasons: * I found Mode X (what I called 'chain mode') to be slower than the other graphic modes in most cases. * It was painful having to maintain separate drawing routines for each graphics mode. Mode X was by far the most painful, since it organized video memory in a non-sequential fashion.
