Just saw this, http://www.vgmaps.com/Atlas/PC/Wolfenstein3-D-Episode3-Floor9.png
Now how about an isometric Ken's Labyrinth? *g*

How about a volumetric Ken's Labyrinth? http://i39.tinypic.com/2exr0ug.jpg with raytracing! OMG RAYTRACED KEN'S LABYRINTH!! :o :o :o http://i43.tinypic.com/14x11z9.jpg

Did you hear something?
Bah, must be just the wind.
Wow! ^_^ I never saw that Isometric Wolf3D it's very cool and very well done! ^_^
I think that a Lab2Iso converter would be relatively easy to do with truly 3D Geometry + A Quadtree you could still use sprites for the enemies to keep things simple. Though all the sprites do face only one direction which means some editing for different views would have to be done.
Additionally a the Ken sprite or something would have to be edited for the player character as I don't recall that we know what our protagonist actually looks like.
Very cool find. ^_^

Peter Houska was working on an enhanced Ken's Labyrinth recently. Too bad he hasn't released it yet. If someone were willing to convert all the textures to voxel/heightmap models, I'm sure he would be happy to use them. ; )
Nice work. Here is my feedback: jelly.kv6: Useless, other than for taking screenshots I guess. The real thing would be shaped like a bumpy sphere. KENTILE4.kvx: Nice wall model. I like how you doubled the res to improve the smoothness of the slopes. POTPLANT6.kvx: The colors are a bit off. The pot should be brighter. Also, the tree should be a little thicker - more green and less stem (especially at top). rope.kvx: I think there should be 4 hooks, and the hooks should not extend out so far. slotkvx.kvx: Nice. sodamachine*.kvx: Nice, although it doesn't make sense to have the cord changing colors. stairsdown.kvx: Nice. waterdisp7.kvx: Nice. welcome.kvx: Nice, although I'm not sure I would have that message on the back. ; )

Well, Ken mentioned my work on a new Ken's Lab mod - thanks Ken :)
Get the program here - FOR FREE! ;) http://stud3.tuwien.ac.at/~e9907459/sw_rendering.html
On the screenshot you see an "isometric" view as "suggested" in this thread. Actually this is one of the new "automap"-modes that Ken's Labyrinth didn't feature at all.

Sweetness!!
Very nice Isometric styled mode. ^o^
Very cool! I see you implemented 6DOF Raycasting. ;) I've been wanting to try that, but ATM I'm just using 4DOF with Y-Shearing For my Fake 6DOF movement.
Nice!

Hi Jinroh,
thanks for the compliments ;D
I'd like to see your 6DOF fake demo!

Yeah, definitely progress is slowly but surely.
It's ready for the 3D View Again, just in the state of re-implementing the 3D Drawing/Projection of the algorithm. It would be nice if I could convert the whole thing to 6DOF I'm sure I could I'll just have to look into the theory behind it more.
Thanks. ^_^

so stay tuned and finish the demo :)

Well, now that corporate fascism dictates that I am now unemployed it may be sooner. But damn, I'm so tired nowadays.
