Hey! Me and my 7 years old nephew are really enjoying this source port and don't ask why I let a kid play Duke, it's my godfather's fault (his dad) and my sister (his mom) doesn't give a s**t. Really, it's the best source port I've ever found, for both Duke 3D and Shadow Warrior.
Okay, I started this topic asking if there's any way to lower the frames per second a bit, running the game at 60 is way too faster for this game and it simply doesn't feel as it was intended to run this fast. What I want to do is cap both games at 30 fps, if it's possible. Is there any way to do this? Thanks in advance and, again, kudos for doing a great port.

Re: Cap FPS to 30
At this stage no :) Maybe get a better graphics card if you finding tearing or whatever. Whats your PC specs ?

EDuke32 has r_maxfps; you can find it in the console, next to the kitchen sink.

But it was! actually it runs at least 10fps faster than that (70fps at 320x200@70Hz, same mode as Doom except twice the fps) In any case, if you were to cap it down to 30fps, you would introduce unnecessary stuttering unless you manage a virtually perfect 60Hz custom refresh rate to go with it, and that assuming 30fps could be generated consistently.
Now that we're talking FPS, could SWP be allowed to internally generate more than 60fps? what happens now is, when working under a screen mode with a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, I get some nasty ghosting.
Cheers :)

Not to downplay ProASM's awesome job with Shadow Warrior, but why does not the original poster just play in DOSBox and Throttle Up or Down according to your tastes?

The DOS version has bad mouse support. :(

Well if he wants to play with a certain speed, then that's like his only choice. :P Though I prefer the DOS version, myself. XD
