PNGOut Changelog

Ken, I was wondering if you could post the changelog for PNGOut. It's hard to tell what's getting changed in each version.

The last version I had was the "Feb 19 2005" version, and the one I just downloaded is the "April 1 2005" version. What's changed between those two? Thanks!

Other than bug fixes, the only new thing is a /d0 option which forces PNGOUT to use the minimum bit depth possible. See this thread for more information about the bug fixes.

Yes. Many palette-based images with 16 or fewer colors compress better with a bit depth of 8 (/d8). The only way to know for sure is to use trial & error.
