Cheers for Kzip too. We too use pngout for png-crushing the resources in our J2ME games and after that we pack the JAR file with Kzip... two things to note: 1-The PNGs NEVER get any overhead, they stay in the JAR exactly with the same original size and 2-We get another 1kb or so more from packing with Kzip.
